bronchitis, diet is most important. Potatoes and other starchy foods should be cut out entirely and our rules of diet strictly followed. To stop the cough nothing is better than Dr. Lee's Cough Tablets, No. 27, in conjunction with this syrup. DR. LEE'S COMPOSITION ESSENCE. No. 9 Composition: Cayenne, ginger, bayberry bark, cloves, cinnamon, and alcohol. To those having lived in the old country, no comment on its virtues will be needed. But to those who have never used it, we mention that in diarrhoea, colic, gas in the stomach and bowels, chills, colds, influenza, and as a warming drink before going out in the morning, nothing will equal it. It has the warming action of whisky without the intoxicating effect. Its sale in the old country is larger than any other single medical preparation. In frost bites it acts like a charm, use it internally and externally to the affected parts. DR. LEE'S STONE ROOT COMPOUND. No. 10 Composition : Stone root, hydrangea, parevia brava, with a flavouring essence. A combination of herbal astringent diuretics. In cases of stone or gravel in the kidney or bladder, there is no other preparation to equal it. It will actually dissolve the foreign matter and bring it away with the urine. Taken in conjunction with Dr. Lee's Kidney Pills, No. 14, and Dr. Lee's Cystitis Tablets, No. 21, and copious drinks of water between meals, the results are more pronounced and quicker, as the diuretic pills increase the activity of the kidneys and the water flushes the urinary track. If any constipation of the bowels exists it will be essential to take regular doses of Dr. Lee's Special Laxative Pills, No. 13. Without disparaging surgery, we would suggest before having any operation for these troubles, you give the above compound a fair trial, when we think the operation will be unnecessary. It will also be materially assisted if Dr. Lee's Saw Palmetto Compound, No. 11, is taken in conjunction for the treatment of cystitis, pylitis, prostatitis and similar diseases of the urinary organs. In taking the two compounds, it is most advisable to take them alternate days, in conjunction with the above mentioned pills and tablets. In a case of cystitis (inflammation of the bladder) and prostatitis (enlargement of the prostate gland), we recommend the insertion in the rectum each night of one of Dr. Lee's prostate suppositories. These will relieve the pain, settle any inflammation in cystitis, and reduce the size of the prostate gland in prostatitis. In cases of difficulty in the passing of urine, frequent urination, and where there is pain and a burning sensation in urinating, this compound taken in conjunction with Dr. Lee's Saw Palmetto Compound, No. 11, and Dr. Lee's Incontinence Tablets, No. 19, will have a most beneficial effect and save the necessity for an operation in 95 per cent, of cases. However, in these troubles always remember to seek our aid before the case arrives at the stage when nothing but the knife can save the life. Note we cannot perform miracles.
