Fisher inc copy: Previously owned by the Duke of Roxburghe, Earl Spencer, John Dent, P. A. Hanrott, the Earl of Ashburnham, Richard Bennett, and John Pierpont Morgan. It was subsequently acquired in exchange from the Morgan Library by H P Kraus, who sold it to the last private owner, Roberto Salinas Price. A number of leaves from this copy are currently bound into the Windsor Castle copy. These leaves were presented by the Duke of Roxburghe to his fellow bibliophile King George III in the period 1794–1804. The Roxburghe Recueil is unusual however in that the first and last printed leaves are present. As confirmed by Brunet, the leaves currently wanting were already not present at the time of the Roxburghe sale in 1812.
