1) letter
Cartonnage, the backs of some fragments are painted with blue, red and beige designs. Fr. 1 is a letter, the ink is stripped away and quite illegible for most of the text. The pieces are mostly unrelated texts written in different hands. Fr. 1 and 2 and some of the scraps have a small upright Ptolemaic hand. Fr. 1: partial left margin, front, 9 lines and traces of many more written along the fibres; back, entirely painted; fr. 2: a large blank portion on the left, probably the margin, front, 8 lines written along the fibres; back, entirely painted. Fr. 3 is written in a second hand, but in a very similar style to fr. 1. Fr. 3: no margins, front, 7 lines written along the fibres; back entirely painted. Fr. 4 - 6 are probably all different hands from unrelated texts, the ink on fragment 7 is almost entire effaced, but the few clear letters are in the same style as fr. 1. Fr. 4: no margins, front, the surface is badly damaged, 8? lines written along the fibres; back, entirely painted; fr. 5: no margins, unaligned/UNClear fibres, some writing is upside down, possibly two different fragments stuck together, front, 6 lines written along the fibres; back, painted; fr. 6: possible top margin, front, 2 lines written against the fibres; back, entirely painted; fr. 7: margins UNClear, front, traces of 6? lines written along the fibres; back, entirely painted.
