1) letter
Cartonnage, the backs are painted with geometrical designs. Two different hands on the two fragments. The ink is much effaced and faded. The hand on fragment 1 is smooth and rounded; the hand on fragment 2 is awkward and scratchy. Fragment 1 is the bottom of a letter, with ἔρρωσο (ἔτους) δ in line 3. Fr. 1: bottom margin?, front, 4 lines written against the fibres; back, painted; fr. 2: left and bottom margin intact, front, 7 lines written along the fibres; back, painted.
