Colophon: "Nishlam ha-ḥibur bi-rtson Hasem ve-ʻezrato ve-heʻetaktiv mi-leshon ha-geri el leshon ha-ʻIvri mi-sefer mutʻeh ve-ḥaser, ani Moshe ben Tibon be-ḥodesh Kislev shenat ḥameshet alafim ve-ḥamesh ʻesreh li-frat.. Tam ve-nishlam, shevaḥ le-bore ʻolam, a"y [al-yede] Avraham, yḥ"y, be-ḥodesh Kislev, shenat ḥameshet alafim u-mataim ve-ʻesrim va-shesh le-briat ha-ʻolam, yom vav samukh le-hakhnasat kalah." [=The composition is finished with God's will and assistance and I copied it [i.e., translated it] from the foreign language into Hebrew from a corrupt and lacking book. I, Moshe ben Tibbon, in the month of Kislev, year 5015 [=November/December 1254]. [The manuscript] was completed and finished, praised be the Creator of the world, by Avraham, may he live, in the month of Kislev, year 5226 from the Creation [=November/December 1465], [on] Friday, close to the [time of] receiving the bride [i.e., the beginning of Sabbath.]

Appended photocopy of letter from the 25th day of the Omer 5692 (=16 May 1932), in which Rabby Yosef Ḥaim Shrem gifts this manuscript to David Solomon Sassoon.
