Manuscript on vellum, written in an Italian semi-cursive hand of the thirteenth century; incomplete at either end.
Beginning and end of work wanting. Includes pt. 1 from the middle of no. 57 to the middle of ʻinyan tefilin. Also wanting some leaves in middle and some leaves bound in wrong place. Correct order is: leaves 1-8, wanting leaves; 9-18, 23-25, 19-22, 26-38, wanting leaves, 39-45, wanting leaves, 47-54, wanting leaves, 55-56, wanting leaves, 57, wanting leaves, 58-66, 46, 67-186, wanting leaves, 187-191, wanting.
On fol. 160r, at the end of Hilkhot śemaḥot the scribe writes: "Gam elu hilkhot śemaḥot she-ḥiber R. Tsidḳiyah n.r.ṿ. be-R. Avraham ha-Rofe t.n.ts. bi-ts. ha-ḥ.." The acronym n.r.ṿ. would indicate that the manuscript was copied while the author was still alive.
