Culinary recipes include: 'carrot soup', 'to stew Lampreys or Eels', 'pickle tongue', 'ginger biscuits', 'egg wine', 'Mushroom, Oyster and Walnut Catchup', along with many types of jellies and jams.
Includes a recipe for potato chips on page 42, which may pre-date the earliest printed source, "The Cook's Oracle," London, 1822.
Many of the cooks who shared these recipes are named throughout, including: Mrs. W. Tongue, Miss Waldron, Mrs. Wylde, Mrs. Mapleton, Mrs. Hacket.
